Increasing your social awareness starts with building your skills in active listening. What is the person trying to convey to you by their tone of voice or body language? Listening for what isn’t being said is sometimes as or more important than the words someone is using.
If you are mindful of all the cues someone you are talking to is exhibiting, you have a better chance of interpreting the true meaning of the conversation. The better you are at gathering clues to the context of the message, the higher your chances are of building trust with that person through your interactions with them.
