Managing a Winning Team
The fastest way to become a better manager.
The Cortex Core Course – Day 1 & 2
Employees go to work for an organization, but quit because of their manager, according to Gallup Research.
From the 10,000 professionals we have trained and the more than 3,000 executive coaching hours we’ve conducted, we’ve found that the majority of managers are promoted into their position because they were a subject matter expert or they were someone who demonstrated an ability to do their job better than others in their department, division, or in the organization. Sometimes a person is promoted to management because they were the best choice at the time and had a desire to move up in the organization. Their promotion rarely carries with it immediate skill building the things they will need to deliver the most to be successful when managing or leading others. Things like communication, giving and receiving feedback, delegation, managing multiple priorities, time management, and creative problem solving.
Those “soft skills” are things they have tried to learn ”on the job” or people think they should know or assumed they did. Poor results or frustration are the result for them, their boss, and their team members.
We understand that managers and leaders have very little time. They need methods that deliver high quality skill building that bring an immediate and practical value to them, their teams and their workplaces.
For this reason, Cortex has developed a unique and brand new course designed for the busy manager or leader that needs to build their soft skills fast. Your managers will learn the leadership mindset to ensure they will: Think more strategically, speak more effectively, act more intentionally.
