Go Deeper than the DISC graph

Quick DISC Tip for those that love using the tool.

Tip 101.  Go deeper than the DISC graphs.

It’s easy to quickly label yourself or someone else a D or an I or S or C (Driver, Influencer, Supporter, Calculator) when it comes to the tool that measures your behavioral preferences commonly known as DISC. D is a measure of your dominance. I is a measure of your desire to influence others. S is a measurement of steadiness and C is a measurement of compliance.

To simply look at the graphs and see a letter and the number for yourself or someone else is like stating the color of your car with no regard to the make and model. When you receive a 50-page DISC report go deeper inside it to learn more about your behavioral styles, how they are serving you, and how they might not be.

Hidden inside of your DISC report is the page you see in this graphic.  It outlines a behavioral hierarchy that gives you insight on the types of behaviors others may notice and you can use as part of your strengths at work belt!

This chart is where you will find your super powers.  It allows you to see how you will best contribute to a position, role, or project to see if you are a good match.  It also allows you to see that you may have a bias in that area or cause disruption if those behaviors are not called for in the situation you find yourself in.  When leaders use this page properly, they can determine which roles you are best suited for and the most effective methods for coaching and developing your talents.

Go deeper into the 50-page you receive and uncover a treasure full of insights that you can use to gain momentum towards the outcomes you want to achieve.
